Paradox of Rapid Growth and Persistent Poverty: India and China
Dr. Deepak Nayyar, distinguished University Professor of Economics at The New School for Social Reearch and Professor of Economics at Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi, India, will deliver a lecture titled “Paradox of Rapid Growth and Persistent Poverty: India and China”.

Earlier in his career, Dr. Nayyar taught economics at the University of Oxford, the University of Sussex and the Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta. He also served as Vice-Chancellor of the University of Delhi from 2000 to 2005.
