On January 31, 2012, Ashok Gurung and Georgina Drew, the Senior Director of the India China Institute and ICI’s postdoc, will convene a session on ERSEH themes at Yale University with scholars interested in religious studies, environment, and the Himalaya. They will present the problems that motivate the research, the gap in the scholarship that the project helps to address, and the possibilities for future research that it presents. They will also open up to the floor to an equal or greater period of discussion for scholars to respond, give suggestions, and share works-in-progress. The discussion will create a space for knowledge sharing and critical inquiry on new approaches to the study of religion and ecology in regions such as the Himalaya”
